Awards
- Team Awards: The TOP 2 teams in each of the scored races will take home one of Hughson Supercross's custom trophies.
- Sweepstakes Award: We have traditionally given a trophy to the school that brings the most well rounded program and scores the best in: Varsity Girls, Varsity Boys, Frosh Soph Girls, Frosh Soph Boys. We have so far not awarded a sweepstakes trophy based on Junior varsity results, as participation numbers have not allowed. If numbers continue to increase, we will include Junior varsity scores in the sweepstakes division. Stay tuned for 2024!
- Individual Awards In the varsity races, the top 20 athletes will receive medals, for all other races, the top 15 runners in the FS, JV, and MS races will take home medals. Medals will be handed out in the chute
- Course Record Medals - Custom medals to athletes setting course records in the following divisions: Varsity Boys, Varsity Girls, Frosh Soph Boys, Frosh Soph Girls
- Premes This is the coaches's favorite. The first runner through the mud pit in each race will receive some sort of special prize. Premes are dependant on what we get donated each year.
- Random Finisher Awards One of the things that we really like about our meet is that anyone may take home some sort of prize. At the beginning of each race, the starter will draw a number from a hat (the number will be larger than 15, because the first 15 finishers already get medals). Whichever number the starter draws, will be awarded to the corresponding place finisher in that race. We've had some wonderful surprise awards handed out in this way over our 9 years of existence.
- Ice cream to all finshers....just sayin' it's happened in the past. I'll see what I can get donated.
"Joel,
Thanks for a great meet. On a more personal note: by providence, you gave a prize hat to my autistic kid in the chute. He came up to me after the meet asking why someone gave him a hat. I told him that he won it as a prize for his hard work. This will most likely be the only thing he wins…ever. You should have seen his face. What a beautiful, perfect moment.
Thank you so much.
JoAnn Davison,
Turlock High."
