2023 Top Contenders
Girls
The research is complete and the pictures have been received. Our 2023 top contenders are a strong group that should engage in some very competitive racing. The girls field should be headed by the Mansouri Sisters of Elk Grove. Freshman Giana was 4th at the Lagoon Valley Classic and 2nd at the Lodi Flame Invitational. Sophomore Yasmin was 8th at Lagoon Valley and 3rd at Lodi Flame and was 2nd at last year's Supercross.

Top Girls Contenders Slide Show
Boys
On the boys side, last year's 2nd placer, John Funderburg of Pleasant Grove returns to try to move up one spot from last year and take the title. Last year, Funderburg ran the #7 time ever at Supercross to finish behind eventual Sac Joaquin Section Division 1 Champion Daniel Gonzales of Lincoln.

Funderburg will be joined by multiple talented boys, including: Last year's 7th place finisher, Hideto Hara of Half Moon Bay as well as last year's 12th place finisher, Andrew Fritch of Lincoln. They will be joined by last year's Sac Joaquin Section Sophomore Champion, Jonathan Hupman of Merrill West, who is having a great season at the varisty level this year.
